Imal Liyanage, born in Colombo in 1994, started cricket at Royal College and later played U-23s for Colts CC. He featured in Sri Lanka’s domestic circuit with Tamil Union, Badureliya SC, and Kandy Customs CC, making his T20 debut in 2015.

Moving to Qatar, he debuted in T20Is vs Uganda in 2020 and has since scored 1,000+ runs as a key wicket-keeper batter. He’s also played club cricket in Australia (Preston CC) and the UK (Woodhouse Grange CC), adding valuable overseas experience
